Man, worst makeovers in ANTM history!!! It was very interesting how little they changed these girls. Some of them could have used a lot more work ("Jael: we're giving you a weave -- and sending you in for DERMABRASION!!!")

I've given the episode 1.5 stars because the ones that did turn out okay (and, believe me, that was rare) were actually quite good.

Nevertheless, here are my rankings. I've tried to base them mostly on their photos, which is where their "makeovers" ought to make the most difference, but I've also based it a little on what they did with their new look when they weren't at a shoot (e.g. at Panel). I think it says a lot about a girl when she shows up to Panel looking raggedy.

With that said, here are my rankings! I've also tagged the latest booted contestant.

11. Natasha

Vidal Sassoon-inspired cut (long in front, tapers to back) in chocolate brown

To be fair to TPTB at ANTM, I think that this cut should have looked good on Natasha. It's really her inability to wear it that's the problem, here. I think her ice cream photo just proves my point -- the hair color looks great on her in that photo. But, in this makeover photo, she looks all scary and her bangs are in her face (well, I guess we can blame Neeko for that) and she looks really weird, like the cover art for a sci-fi novel. As many others have noted, it looks like a bad wig.

And it's clear that this girl has absolutely no savvy at all when it comes to hair, what with the way she's always showing up to panel looking like Mufasa. IMO, a model should know how to style her hair and, if necessary, OWN A HAIR STRAIGHTENER.

10. Cassandra (BOOTED)

Removed sewn-in wig, added a 'fro weave

Many of you stated how much you preferred Cassandra's hair before the makeover. ITA, but I didn't rank her last because she's still rockin' the 'fro WAY better than Natasha's rockin' the Chocolate Lion King.

I must admit, though, she has no idea what to do with her face in pictures.

9. Diana

Blonde hair, more volume

What the heck kind of makeover is this?? She looks the SAME! The only difference is that she's wearing makeup and her hair's been done for the photoshoot. But notice that she still showed up to Panel looking as greasy as ever!! My big beef with Diana (aside from her soporific personality) is the greasiness of her hair. Use a clarifying shampoo, for pity's sake!!

And it cannot be stated enough how boring she is. If they'd jazzed her up a bit, she might have looked better. But, then again, I doubt she'd have been able to pull it off.

8. Renee

Short, "edgy" cut, a la C2 winner Yoanna

Edgy? I'm sorry, it looks more like a mini-mullet to me. In this pic particularly, it looks like it was a mistake, like her son got a hold of those scissors and took out his infant angst on her leaving him alone at seven months out on her coiffure.

However, I placed her above Diana et al because she wears that crappy new 'do better than these three wear their relatively normal 'dos. One thing I will say for Renee is that she is doing her darnedest to make this cut work for her.

7. Jael

From long, brown weave to short, brown Mia-Farrow-in-Rosemary's-Baby cut

Poor Jael. It must've been tough getting that ouchie weave put in, only to have it torn out and what little hair she had before chopped off.

I must say, though, that I like her new hair much better than her old hair. Her old hair shouted "I AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT COMMON" to me.

Unfortunately, she ain't nothin' but common, so, despite the prettiness of her new cut, it still doesn't fit her "style." I think it would make a world of difference if she took out that nose ring. That Mia Farrow cut should be worn with a classy look/style, not with -- whatever Jael's doing to it.

In short, I think her hair looks good. I just don't think it looks that good on her. Mostly because I don't think she looks good.

Also: she is haggard. Really wish she'd gotten some dermabrasion.

6. Brittany

Red weave.

Is Brittany a crybaby? Absolutely. But she is rockin' the red weave, as painful as it is. But I only ranked her #6 because this photo ain't that great and her hair looked pretty raggedy at Panel.

5. Sarah

Brown pixie cut.

I think that Sarah's one of the prettier contestants. I know that some of you out there think she's got a lizard neck, but I think her long neck is graceful and I think her delicate features are perfect for the cut they gave her.

I did like her better as a blonde, but she's not doing bad with the brown, so I must give her props.

4. Jaslene

Layers. And maybe a little more volume.

Many of you have noted that they didn't do much to Jaslene. That much is obvious. But girlfriend is still fierce. Her makeoever pic is ossom.

3. Whitney

Extensions.

They didn't really do much to Whitney, either, but I had to give her madd propz for this photo. Girlfriend looks HOTT and she is totally rockin' her plus sizedness in it.

She has such a pretty face (did I mention that I LOVE her People's Eyebrow action??) and a great attitude. I hope she gets far (even though I think it's a very long shot for a Whitney win).

2. Felicia

Black hair, bangs.

Felicia looks good with the bangs, IMO. She looks a bit like Alicia Keys in this pic. She is totally rocking this new look. And I love that they went dark with her hair; she was a little too Tyra-ey with the light hair. It actually did what it was supposed to do: give her an edgier, more high-fashion look.

1. Dionne

Short, dark "Kelis" cut.

Dude, how hott is Dionne's new 'do?? She looks BANGIN' in this pic and the cut is perfect for her strong face. I think this was the best decision the Makeover Gods made in this cycle.

In closing, I'd just like to say that, while most of the girls look okay, and some even look good, I can never forget that handsome is as handsome does and stupid is as stupid does.

I like to root for the ones that are more handsome than stupid.
